Joomla install guide

Free site module. Visitors click Chat on your Joomla site → you reply in Social NameCentury.

Download the module ZIP

  1. Sign up / sign in: namecentury.us/app
  2. Open Developer → Embed & Share
  3. Click Download Joomla ZIP
Get download link (after login) Direct ZIP download

File name: namecentury-chat-joomla.zip — contains module mod_namecentury_chat.

Install & publish

Log in to Joomla Administrator.

Go to System → Install → Extensions (or Extensions → Manage → Install on older versions).

Upload namecentury-chat-joomla.zip → Install.

Go to Content → Site Modules (or Extensions → Modules) → find NameCentury Chat (Free).

Set status to Published, assign to a module position that loads on all pages (or your main template position), set menu assignment to On all pages, then Save.

Optional module options: site name, FAB left/right, show Google Play links.

Open the public site → blue Chat button → test → reply in Social → Chat Support.

Done.

Common problems

Issue Fix
No Chat button Module Published? Assigned to a position your template renders? Menu = all pages?
Install fails Confirm ZIP contains mod_namecentury_chat.xml; try Install from folder after unzip.
No staff alerts Open Social NameCentury → Chat Support → enable notifications.
